PTMS Basics Training

PTMS Basics courses provide you an opportunity to develop a clear understanding of the fundamentals of PTMS. TCI offers several PTMS Basics options to meet your specific training needs.

Course Options

Business Personal Property – New PTMS

Maximize Your PTMS ROI with Training from TCI

This three-day course uses lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice for learning how to use New PTMS to prepare personal property tax returns, compare values and process tax bills. You will learn how to get the most out of PTMS's data reporting and management functions. Additional training days may be added to this course for topics such as appeals, distributed property, or centrally assessed returns.

Real Property

During this session, you will learn how to manage all aspects of real property including the ability to import real property, track and evaluate values, manage appeals, and process tax payments. This is available as a two-day stand-alone class or as a one-day add-on to your Business Personal Property training class.

San Diego Classroom Training

TCI conducts training courses regularly throughout the year at our corporate offices in San Diego, California. Each training class has a maximum of 12 seats to ensure that each trainee receives adequate individual attention. It is recommended that you register as early as possible to ensure you secure the training session of your choice. Complete this online form to register for a PTMS training session in San Diego.

Onsite Training

TCI will send experienced training professionals to your location and provide training customized to your needs and preferences. Course duration varies based on your individual training goals.

Regional Classroom Training

TCI offers regionally-based basic training classes to reduce the costs associated with attending training in San Diego or on-site training. TCI periodically schedules such sessions in cities across the US and structures them to cover the same material as San Diego Classroom Training. Each PTMS Basics regional training session consists of three days of hands-on training.

The current fee for the three-day Regional PTMS Basics training course is $1200 per trainee. A one-day Advanced Regional Training course can be added for another $695.

Based upon customer demand, TCI will consider holding PTMS Regional Training for your groups in India or other locations outside the US. Please contact the Training Department for scheduling and pricing.

Web-Based Training

Using Web conferencing software and a speakerphone, our San Diego-based instructors will engage you in an online classroom. Web sessions will be scheduled for 2 hours increments over a series of days to cover the same material as San Diego Classroom Training.

Tuition for PTMS Basics

San Diego Classroom Training $1500 per trainee

Note: San Diego Classroom Training for up to three persons is free of charge for newly installed TCI clients if the training takes place within six months of the initial installation of PTMS.

Registration

Simply complete the on-line registration form and (if chargeable) remit your payment to Tax Compliance, Inc. Each class is limited to a maximum of 12 trainees to ensure each trainee receives adequate personalized instruction. For your convenience and to maximize your training time, lunch is served at the Training Center on each day of training. Registration is not complete until you receive a confirmation notice from TCI. To obtain the latest session availability, please contact the TCI Training Department at 858-547-4100.

As class size is limited, it is recommended that you register as early as possible.

Note: TCI requires you to complete your PTMS implementation prior to training.


Substitutions

TCI reserves the right to substitute comparable material for any scheduled training session. Substitutions may be made at any time up to the day of the training session.


Cancellations

If for any reason you must cancel your registration, please do so in writing at least 14 days prior to the training session you are scheduled to attend. Your registration fee is fully refundable if your written cancellation is received by that time. Although training session fees are not refundable within the 14 days prior to the training session, substitutions are allowed at no additional charge.

Hotel Registration and Information for San Diego Classroom Training

Holiday Inn Select Miramar

A block of rooms has been reserved for each Training Session at the nearby Holiday Inn Select, 9335 Kearny Mesa Road, San Diego, CA 92126. Availability of rooms is limited, so reservations should be made at least 14 days prior to your check-in date. To make room reservations contact the Holiday Inn Select at 800-262-2301 or 858-695-2300 and be sure to ask for TCI's Preferred Corporate Rate. You may also book your room online. To receive TCI's Preferred Corporate Rate, enter TCI's ID# 100201388 in the Corporate ID field of their registration form.


Getting to the Hotel

Holiday Inn Select provides shuttle service to and from San Diego International Airport (Lindbergh Field). Cost is $12 per person, each way. You may arrange for a shuttle pick-up when making your hotel reservation. If you will be renting a car and require directions to the hotel, click here.


Daily Transportation

A shuttle is provided by the Holiday Inn Select to transport attendees from the hotel to the TCI Training Center each morning and back to the hotel each evening.

The TCI Training Center is located approximately 15 miles from downtown San Diego and most other area attractions, so you may wish to rent a car for after-hours transportation.
